| Event Name: AARAMBH 2023 | Event Date: October 3 to 6, 2023 |
The Lloyd Group of Institutions has successfully Organised its Orientation Program, Aarambh 2023, for incoming BBA & BCOM Batch 2023-26 students from October 3 to 6, 2023. This initiative aimed to warmly welcome the new students and acquaint them with the institute's academic and co-curricular offerings. Over these four days, distinguished speakers and faculty members shared insights and motivation with the students, encouraging them to seize the opportunities awaiting them.
The first day began with student registration and a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Shilpi Sarna, Head of Department, Undergraduate Program. She introduced the institution’s vision and mission and presented Mr. Faisal Noman, the Program Coordinator, who clarified the examination pattern and academic activities. Faculty members were also introduced, and the day ended with recognition for high-achieving students from the previous year and members of student organizations.
The second day kicked off with an ice-breaking Q&A session and an interaction with Industrial expert, Ms. Shweta Berry. Faculty members (Dr.) Neetu Kamra and Ms. Neha Issar introduced the BBA-Business Analytics (BA) program, emphasizing its scope and benefits. Day three began with a movie review of "The Man Who Knew Infinity," and afternoon sports events featured games showcasing students' enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Winners received recognition at the day's end.
The final day Aarambh 2023- Orientation Programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi, Chief Strategy Officer & Head of Growth at Lloyd Group of Institutions. She highlighted the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone, creative thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset. A standout moment was the guest lecture by Mr. Ranjeet Koul, Vice President & Country Manager at Aeris. He discussed lifelong learning and the role of the current generation in India's economic growth. Mr. Koul emphasized an open mindset and adaptability to change.
Another guest speaker, Mr. Shrey Deepam, a Marketing Strategist at Google, discussed the balance between theoretical and practical knowledge in today's competitive world. He urged students to be curious and engage in various activities for personal and professional growth while providing tips on using Google products effectively.
Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora Sethi expressed gratitude to the guest speakers, gifting them saplings and mementos as tokens of appreciation. She thanked them for their time and inspiring words. Prof. (Dr.) Shilpi Sarna, HOD, expressed appreciation for the successful induction programme and wished students a bright future.
