Objectives:

The objective of the guest lecture was to engage the students of Lloyd BBA and B.com to make them learn the essential social etiquette skills. The lecture enabled students to learn the basic etiquettes and enhance their personality.

Detailed Report:

The Social Etiquettes: Manners Matter workshop was held on 11th April 2023, at Lloyd Group of Institutions, Management Department, Campus 2. Resource person, Ms. Honey Qaisar delivered a lecture on social etiquettes. She laid emphasis on certain rules expected from the students to behave courteously in a social setup. She eloquently spoke about table manners, courtesy, how to carry ourselves in public and how often while communicating, we forget to do a balanced communication by active listening and speaking filtered thoughts. Overall, it was an informative session where students were enlightened on personal grooming and how social etiquettes can take us a step ahead towards our success. Students showed great enthusiasm in learning as well as in asking relevant questions from the resource person.

Learning Outcomes

The guest lecture provided the platform to the students to interact, and grow. The major learning outcomes of the workshop were:

  • to inculcate social manners
  • to develop an understanding of the importance of social etiquette in academic and professional settings
  • to make them understand the significance of cultural differences in social etiquette and how to navigate them respectfully

Overall, the guest lecture was a great success, and the students were very appreciative of the opportunity that they got to be a part of.
